Estonian Junior Doctors’ Association (Eesti Nooremarstide Ühendus, ENÜ) is a non-profit non-governmental organization that gathers junior doctors in Estonia and represents their interests. Founded in 1991 when Estonia regained its independency, it is a part of the Estonian Medical Association (founded in 1921). ENÜ has approximately 360 members, most of them residents in training. As a result of ENÜ’s efforts, the status of residents was changed from university students to employees in 2001. The main aims of the organization are improvement of working conditions, doctors’ salaries and the quality of post-graduate training.
