Statement of support for Turkish Doctors
RIGHT TO COMPLETE POSTGRADUATE TRAINING FOR RESIDENT DOCTORS IN TURKEY
During the state of emergency following the coup attempt in Turkey in July 2016, more than 50.000 state employees and 2.000 medical doctors, including 37 medical residents were sacked from state employment by different decrees.
The European Junior Doctors Permanent Working Group strongly supports the Turkish junior doctors in their struggle for the constitutional right to complete their postgraduate training, without political or judicial obstacles.
